Our First Four Albums, From Danzig to Danzig 4
Our first four albums were made by the original lineup: Glenn Danzig, Eerie Von, John Christ and Chuck Biscuits. Here's that era, one record at a time.
Danzig (1988)
The first album. The band had formed in 1987 out of Samhain, and Danzig was the first record under the new name. In the fall of 1994 it went gold.
Danzig II: Lucifuge (1990)
The second album. Same four people, same dark, heavy sound, with the blues feel that runs through so much of our music.
Danzig III: How the Gods Kill (1992)
The third album. Still the original lineup, and still heavy metal at its core.
Thrall-Demonsweatlive (1993)
The EP. Released between the third and fourth albums, Thrall-Demonsweatlive also went gold in the fall of 1994, alongside our first album.
Danzig 4 (1994)
The fourth album, and the last with the first lineup. Chuck Biscuits left in the summer of 1994; John Christ and Eerie Von left in July 1995.
